ââ¬Å"A Very Old Man with Enormous Wingsâ⬠:Gabriel Garcia- Marquez story ââ¬Å"A Very Old Man with Enormous Wingsâ⬠, written in 1955, is about a family harboring what is thought to be a fallen old ââ¬Å"angel manâ⬠, initially thought to be on his way to take their ailing child away. The angel must have been coming for the child, but the poor fellow is so old that the rain knocked him down (Marquez, 1955). The family not knowing how to treat the situation embarks on a journey of mixed emotions of whether the man is good or evil, strange creature or angel. We will journey down the road of evaluation of the magical realism within this story. Good and evil played a role in the fact that the family used the creature for greed, Elisenda thought of the idea to build a fence and charge 5 cents admission to see it (Marquez, 1955, p. 3). The rest of the world wanted to use the creature to help heal possible illnesses and that is selfish, many traveled with the hopes to find health (Marquez, 1955, p. 3). I felt this was evil because they lacked the creature up for the benefits of everyone not considering the creatures feelings. This how some of the good and evil coexisted. Angel or Not? This was at time hard to determine if the old man was an angel or a bird of some origin I thought vulture at times, due to the description of buzzard like wings and that the he nestled in a nest (Marquez, 1955). To further my thought of him being a bird, is that when they tried to feed him what was thought the food of angels, mothballs, the man refused (Marquez, 1955). Nevertheless, if I had not paid attention to the wording used I might have gone with the old man was a bird. However, the story uses a lot of language to define divine beings. Like when Father Gonzaga had a providential end to his tribulations (Marquez, 1955 p. 4). Essay on The Life of Edgar Allan Poe - 871 Words
The life of Edgar Allan Poe, was stuffed with tragedies that all affected his art. From the very start of his writing career, he adored writing poems for the ladies in his life. When he reached adulthood and came to the realization of how harsh life could be, his writing grew to be darker and more disturbing, possibly as a result of his intense experimenting with opium and alcohol. His stories continue to be some of the most frightening stories ever composed, because of this, some have considered this to be the reason behind these themes. Many historians and literature enthusiasts have presumed his volatile love life as the source while others have credited it to his substance abuse. The influence of his one-of-a-kind writing is more thanâ⬠¦show more contentâ⬠¦This book contained poems to girls in his life. At this stage Poe had not become fully aware of how much the abuse he had endured would affect him. However, later in life, Poe would see the world as an abusive and cru el place. Frances Keeling Valentine Allan, Poes foster Mother, was the one positive influence in his life. She taught him history, reading and writing. He treasured these lessons immensely, and loved the kindness in which his foster mother treated him. Frances would guard him from abuse whenever she could control her husband. Poeââ¬â¢s close connection with his foster mother made her death at such an early age severely overwhelming and difficult for him to handle. Overtime it is easy to see the gradual darkening in his works which is directly correlated to the many deaths of his loved ones. After dropping out of West Point, Poe went to live with his Aunt Maria Clemm. This was when he started writing prose and short stories. Poe received news that his brother, William Henry Leonard Poe had died of tuberculosis. Even though Poe had not maintained much of a relationship with his brother, the news hit him hard. This was when he wrote two works: ââ¬Å"Ligeiaâ⬠and ââ¬Å"T he Fall of the House of Usherâ⬠. Poe wanted to write poems that would evoke emotions and produce a certain effect in readers. Event segmentation A Re-Evaluation and Research Plan
Question: Discuss about the Event segmentation for A re-evaluation and Research Plan. Answer: Introduction Tourism industry is one of the most promising industries of the world and it plays vital role on the economy of the countries. As it has considerable contribution in the overall GDP of the countries thus, the entire nations across the world provide great emphasis on the development of the tourism industry. Besides this, it improves the foreign currency reserve of the country (Bardgett, 2000). In order to promote the tourism industry there are several different types of event use to be organized by the event organizer companies of the countries and the government of the country encourage the event organizing companies so that they can attract more and more tourist in the country. The country provides great emphasis to promote the tourism industry in this country. For this purpose, several different types of initiatives use to be taken by the government as well as non-government organizations of the company. Tourism industry is the most promising industries of the planet and it plays crucial role on the economy of the countries. (Dalitz, 2009). Here, several different types of delicious foods and wine served to the travellers that are centre of attraction of the travellers. Festivities have for some time been held in numerous societies that commend harvest. Sustenance and wine-related occasions have their starting points in pre-Christian bacchanalia mysterious celebrations committed to the Roman divine force of wine (Evans Lindsay, 2002). Market division shows an open door for occasion tourism in that it profiles the occasion participants that can be focused through suitable advertising blends. Quantitative research Quantitative research is methodology is one of the most important research methods that help in collecting the perceptions of a wide range of people. With the help of this specific research methodology a widespread idea about the research subject can be gathered. It is require the researchers direct involvement as the researchers use to collect raw data by the survey. From the survey the quantitative data can be accumulated by the researcher and the researcher by the effective analytical tools analysis the static data, which are collected by the statistic tools. Quantitative information will likewise accumulate extensive perceptions in light of the fact that the technique is less tedious. The quantitative information strategy includes overview surveys which incorporates reactions from the road ministers. The poll review is conveyed to visitor and non-traveller through messages and filling shapes on web for the examination study. The subjective information strategy will give information and data about the advantages gain by the tourist and un-tourist in order to visit in the event in evening time. The measurable device will examine, watch, and assess the quantitative information with the assistance of diagrams and tables. The gathering of data and information is the reactions of the respondents that can be either quantitative or subjective in nature respondents that can be either quantitative or subjective in nature. The analyst breaks down the data to assess the reactions and reactions of the respondents. Quantitative data is in numerical that are recorded with the assistance of real mechanical assemblies. The subjective data is helpful to get critical focuses that are identified with the examination study and assembling proposals data is impressive vital to analyze the significance of traveller in the nation. Aside from this, quantitative data and information is basic and less convoluted which characterizes the viewpoint of respondents The purpose of the study The main objectives of the study is to identify the motive of the organizer in order to organize the event as well as for the identification of the motive of the tourist and non-tourist. Why the organizer organize the event of Foods and Wine. The event play important role in attracting the tourist all over the world. Data collection method surveys/questionnaire For the data collection a survey is conducted among the visitors of the events in order to detect the motive of the organizer in order to organize the event as well as for the identification of the motive of the tourist and non-tourist. For this purpose, a well structured questionnaire has been prepared with some probabilistic questionnaire; from where the statistic data were collected buy the statistic tools. Data analysis profile analysis, Ms SDs, t-tests, correlation tests In order analysis of the data several different methods of data analysis has been applied such as demographic profile analysis, Ms SDs, t-tests, correlation tests which help to recognise the motive of the tourist and non-tourist in order to visit the event of Foods and Wine. Literature Review Sustenance food occasions now and again alluded to as trademark or exceptional occasions are fairs, celebrations, pieces, social, buyer, and industry occasions which are hung on either a normal or an erratic premise ("International Dairy Federation/Dairy Industry Association of Australia Functional Dairy Foods Conference: 24-25 February 2009, Melbourne, Australia", 2009). Trademark occasions have expected a key part in worldwide, national, local, and firm tourism and nourishment and wine showcasing and advancement methodologies (Katz Weaver, 2003). From a business point of view their essential showcasing capacity is to give items, supports, host groups and different partners with a chance to secure high noticeable quality in the commercial centre while additionally including brand esteem and building client and customer connections (Kerma GaÃâà nik, 2015). Occasions have expected an imperative part in tourism and promoting as of late and have built up their own pro expert asso ciations and specialty territory inside tourism and guest contemplates. In the meantime the investigation of nourishment and wine tourism, which is here and there additionally alluded to as gourmet, culinary or cookery tourism has likewise developed in significance (Kim, Savinovic, Brown, 2013). In any case, due to the way of sustenance as an item and the day by day part it plays in utilization and monetary frameworks, nourishment occasions are more than simply a portion of sustenance retailing, showcasing and advancement additionally match with various other financial, political and social concerns identifying with the way of contemporary rural frameworks, protection of rustic scenes, support of provincial ways of life and groups, and worries over sustenance quality (Lasik, 2013). In view of these elements, sustenance occasions are distinctive. Sustenance occasions are in this way not just about outer advancement to guests and/or customers outside of the host locale they additiona lly have generous inner drivers for being led which identify with the utilization and generation of nourishment from specific areas and groups and to the upkeep of those groups (Kiple Ornelas, 2000). Nourishment occasions are in this way unequivocally associated with faculties of spot and group pride in the items that they create. Besides, sustenance and the feelings and necessities that encompass it, are noteworthy for makers as well as for purchasers in that utilization of specific items may likewise have suggestions for characters and ways of life (Lewis Potter, 2011). There is additionally broad understanding that the quantity of sustenance related occasions being held around the created world is becoming quickly albeit complete figures are difficult to decide (Moore Doherty, 2011). Research Questions What is the demographic report of respondents? What is the comparative significance of every single motive examined? Are there any differentiations between motives of tourists as well as non-tourists? Is respondents incident satisfaction interrelated with intents to attend the event subsequent year for general sample, tourists, and non-tourists? Research Method Research methodology provides substantial contribution to the research process of an important research study. Information investigation part is a standout amongst the most vital parts of the thesis study and it assumes a crucial part in fruitful achievement of the paper study (Quinn, 2011) . It encourages in attracting consideration regarding any issue that is stayed in the picked environment, occasions or association. In the purpose of perspectives of a few scholastic researcher information examination is most pivotal with a specific end goal to better comprehend the present environment. In the paper think about the utilizations of the information investigation helps in interfacing the speculations, which are recognized in the writing survey segment with the discoveries of the particular exploration subject (Spilsbury, 2011). Planning the examination study helps the analyst to build up a diagram for the venture and taking into account the outline the principle task will be anticipated. There are fundamentally two sorts of examination outlining utilized as a part of the exploration concentrates on (Spilsbury, 2011). The two sorts of examination plans are enlightening outline and exploratory configuration (The tourism industry, 2004). At the point when discussing expressive planning the scientist needs to obtain all the pertinent data from the accessible sources. Utilizing the graphic exploration outline for the examination study clarifies that the examination study depends on the data of the truths procured from episodes happened and the hypotheses can be confirmed if vital (The tourism industry, 2004). Exploratory planning of the examination study is based with the thoughts and headway of the analyst's own particular activity. Utilizing the exploratory configuration for the examination study clarifies tha t the specialist has built up a pre design for continuing with the exploration study. Here the exploration study depends on the tourist and this makes the examination study in light of reality based data (Trompenaars Hampden-Turner, 2000). Here. The scientist needs to embrace and apply the spellbinding outlining for the examination study as he or she needs to clarify the applicable data from the actualities as accessible in the sources and not from anything insignificant for the exploration study (Van Winkle Backman, 2008). The exploratory planning don't have any significant bearing here as the analyst can't suggest his or her own particular thoughts and headways in the examination study, he or she must be impeccable with the data and no other data will be considered as pertinent for the exploration study. Data collection process At the point when discussing finish of examination concentrate, no exploration study has ever been finished without putting any information in it. Information is the most indispensable thing for continuing with the task work (Van Winkle Backman, 2008). Information is known as results for making the exploration work more pertinent for the examination study. With no legitimate data the analyst won't have the capacity to finish the venture appropriately with demonstrating all the matter he or she has guaranteed in his or her exploration study. The information sort can be of two sorts comprehensively utilized for any examination study. The essential information and the optional information in the exploration study help the analyst to obtain all the data as and when required for the fruition of the study (Wagen, 2001). The essential information of the examination study is gathered by imparting and taking the perspectives of the general population associated with the exploration theme. Th e general population ought to be connected with the exploration work. Data analysis process Defines all the tests used in this report, including profile analysis, Ms SDs, t-tests, correlation tests (define describe how to use them in your own study) Results What is the demographic report of respondents? In order to search the answer for the primary research question, a demographic profile analysis has been conducted. Table 1 illustrates the results. As can be clearly observed in Table 1, people aged 18-30 involved the biggest group. The male and female respondents were evenly distributed. What is the comparative significance of every single motive examined? There are 6 motives have been analysed in this study. In order to detect the comparative significance of every single motive examined, means and SDs were computed. The outcomes have been recorded as in summarised way in Table 2. In order to produce the on the whole sample, the outcomes specified that outside troop socialisation is the most significant motive (M=3.89, SD=0.98). Are there any differentiations between motives of tourists as well as non-tourists? In order to examine whether the motives of tourists as well as non-tourists are dissimilar, a string of t-tests were conducted. As it has been illustrated in Table 2, Is respondents incident satisfaction interrelated with intents to attend the event subsequent year for general sample, tourists, and non-tourists? In order to search answer for the question whether respondents event satisfaction is interrelated with aims to be present at the event next year, a string of correlation tests were carried out. The results illustrates that for the on the whole sample, r = 0.38; for non-tourist group, r = 0.61; as well as for the tourist group, r = 0.15. Conclusions The motivation behind this research is along these lines to give a diagram of the sustenance occasions range by means of an appraisal of key components and issues and presentation of cases and case of the different occasions. This first section intends to give a prologue to a portion of the key issues from an administration point of view while the accompanying part addresses a portion of the courses inside which occasions are installed inside neighbourhood sustenance frameworks and option types of nourishment circulation and promoting (Who doesn't attend and why?, 2009). From the creation point of view various favourable circumstances of occasions, and sustenance occasions specifically, can be recognized at both a provincial and endeavour scale. Occasions have for quite some time been synonymous with nourishment and especially with religious and profound celebrations. Festivities have for some time been held in numerous societies that commend harvest. Sustenance and wine-related occa sions have their starting points in pre-Christian bacchanalia mysterious celebrations committed to the Roman divine force of wine. Market division shows an open door for occasion tourism in that it profiles the occasion participants that can be focused through suitable advertising blends (Trompenaars Hampden-Turner, 2000). In spite of numerous scholarly papers in the occasion division writing looking to section participants, this is the primary known paper that has meant to arrange concentrates on as a source of perspective point for current scholastics and specialists. This paper gives an itemized investigation to occasion analysts available division approach used by past scientists. It additionally gives direction to analysts on the prescribed sufficient example size and information examination approaches. It was felt that a rundown of key attributes would furnish analysts with a valuable reference manual for past studies (Quinn, 2011). Market division exhibits an open door for occasion tourism in that it profiles the occasion participants that can be focused through proper showcasing blends Recommendations The company should include more varieties of foods and wine from all across the world so that the attraction of the foods and wine lovers will be improved significantly. Besides this the event organiser company can include several different types of cultural programs so that the people who want to explore different culture can be attracted. Apart from this, the company can include merchandising of some unique items which bear the culture of the country can be fruitful in order to attract the visitors (Quinn, 2011). Food and Wine show of Brisbane is in this way not just about outer advancement to guests and/or customers outside of the host locale they additionally have generous inner drivers for being led which identify with the utilization and generation of nourishment from specific areas and groups and to the upkeep of those groups. Nourishment occasions are in this way unequivocally associated with faculties of spot and group pride in the items that they create. Besides, sustenance and the feelings and necessities that encompass it, are noteworthy for makers as well as for purchasers in that utilization of specific items may likewise have suggestions for characters and ways of life (Kim, Savinovic, Brown, 2013). The company can encourage more and more tourist as well as tourist to visit the event. The non-tourist also visit the events because they can also experience the delicious foods and wine items collected across the countries. References Bardgett, L. (2000).The tourism industry.
